My name is Arthur Mingo, and I am a lawyer in Chicago and want to help explain why the law is the way it is. Too often, news organisations, TV shows, and the public do not explain or know the legal underpinnings and rules that affect our daily lives. With this website and podcast I want to pull the curtain back and bring you into the legal world. I hope that after reading this website and listening to the podcast you can see the world like a lawyer and understand the legal world around us.

I am a licensed attorney in the great state of Illinois. I graduated from Southern Illinois University School of Law in 2014 with a Juris Doctorate and a Certificate in Business and Transactional Law. I graduated from the University of Illinois Springfield, with a Masters of Arts in political science with a focus on federal campaign finance regulations and reform. Lastly, I received my Bachelors of Arts from the University of Illinois Springfield.
